I'm Planning tint in the next few weeks. Has anyone got there quarter windows tinted without having a triangle outline from the dots imprinted in the glass? Looks like everyone has the problem but I recall reading on here some shops have a solution for this. Looking for and tips. Thanks.

There are no dots on the small quarter windows. There are Corvette emblems on the rear hatch window, but whoever tinted my car did a great job.
yes there is. in your second and third picture I can see the "triangle" in between the black paint on the glass and where the tint is applied. That's what I am trying to avoid. I want the window to look solid black
My bad. I just looked at my quarter windows and, yes, there is that line caused by the dots . I was first only looking at the tint that went over the lettering and didn't look closely at the edge of the window.
I asked this too. I believe some tinters actually paint the inside of the glass around the dot matrix so that when the tint is applied over it you don't see that funky looking "halo" around the glass. I'm not sure what they actually use, but I know something can be done to hide it.

Dont know what to say if that bothers you. I'd rather have that (which is barely noticeable) than have my windows painted. Was looking at it today and it's noticeable at certain angles, definitely doesn't bug me.
There is NO way around this. The dots are actually paint on the window and due to the distance between each dot, a small amount of air is trapped around each one. The tint has a hard time adhering to the paint. Even if you squeegee around the perimeter of the window after being in the sun for several hours the first day, the appearance will only be reduced somewhat. They will never be completely gone. Now what you don't want is for some to lay down more than others. That's when they really stick out. I'm perfectly happy with a uniform look all the way around. And yes I have been a tinter off and on since I was younger.
I know some guys sand the dots sometimes to get tint to lay down better. Vinyl is also used but again, depends on how much it bugs you. I've been around tint quite a bit myself, my cousin has been tinting for over 25 years.

The vinyl method is what I was thinking about. If not I'll just deal with the ring
