Default Build date

I have a 2017 Corvette on order. Build date is March 27. How long does it usually take once the build has started ?

Short answer, about 3 days.

What you have is your Target Production Week (TPW), your car will be built the "week of March 27". Your car could start down the line on the 27th and complete Wed the 29th or early Thur the 30th. But your car "could start" earlier, like Thur the 23rd and actually roll off the line on the 27th, or it could start Fri the 31st and roll off Tue April 4th. Your dealer should keep you updated on it, be sure to ask them to do that.

I watched mine being 'built'/assembled at the factory, It took 27 hours over 2 day. Had a 3-4 stoppage on day two, got finished around 3-4PM
second day. I did the owners tour. At that time they were completing 170 cars a day, so more that two days seems a bit long in general. A spectific car maybe, if it has to be pulled from the line or has some other QC problem after assembly. Note I said assembly, not built. Building means engine, wheels, etc. If you add in the time to build all the comonents you may have even more time.

I had a TPW of 2/13==this week, and the car was done at Noon on Monday. They are a bit ahead of themselves these days.

Mine also has a TPW of 2/27. Shane at the museum told me it would be completed by 3/2.

That great. Can't wait to get mine although won't be able to drive it because of the snow at home.

According to Shane, the factory will be closed on Fridays in March.
BTW, my dealer hasn't given me one update. If it wasn't for emails from the museum, I wouldn't know anything.

Yea I can't get info from the forum site because I am from Canada! So I went to GM.ca and had a live chat that's how I got the build date. It would be nice to get more info. What color did you order.I ordered Watkins Grey,2 LT. Thanks again for the info.
