Default Trusted shop in Las Vegas?

I need to have my brake pads and rotors replaced on my 2017 Z51. I don't want to do the work myself because it's too hot in my garage with 110 degree summer heat and I'm not sure I can make it until fall. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

While touring the country for 4 years I learned to use search to find Corvette stuff.

I definitely can search, and did search for Corvette and related performance shops. I was looking for somebody with significant experience with shops in our area. Websites are great, but they don't tell the tale.

Give Sammy Valafar a call at 702-505-1110. Great racecar guy with a ton of experience. His shop, MMA Specialties is by appointment only.

What about the local dealer. Have you had bad experiences? They certainly have the experience if they have GM certified Corvette techs.

The only thing hold me back is they only will install GM parts. I want to go with something other than stock, probably Powerstop pads and rotors. Although, frankly, I've not had the best luck with our local dealerships here.

I talked to a shop this morning fairly close to me that had a lot of great reviews, owner is involved and in the shop daily, I think I'm going to let them do the install on the brakes for me. It's pretty simple job, anybody can do it in their home garage, so I'm not too concerned with it.

I've used Elite Customs and they're fantastic.
You can't believe some of the stuff they work on.

Complete Auto Repair Specialist(www.carsnv.com) 702-823-2277 Talk to Mo Buritica - did all the after market stuff on my C8 as well as many others. I recommend them over any dealer in LV.

LOL!! I have a close female friend with a 2004 C5 Auto Coupe that is having serious issues with the drivetrain. She stated that there's a loud banging sound when in gear. My immediate thought was Torque Tube Couplers/Bearings. Had a good Corvette friend go to her house to help sort out the issue. Low and Behold the noise was gone and now the car wont move in any gear. SO,, My Torque Tube Coupler theory is more suspect. Problem is her finding a reliable corvette specialist shop that wont try and rip her off. One shop told her it was a bad engine and wanted "$13,000 dollars to fix it. YEP, You read that right, $13,000. I just hope that the tube is not destroyed so she can get it rebuilt.

So, I searched the Forum and found several post on LV Corvette shops. Searched the internet for C5 Specialist Shops in LV.. Here is what I found:

I know some of them are not full repair shops.

Top 10 Best Corvette Repair in Las Vegas, NV
  • MCR Corvettes. 4.3 mi. Auto Repair. ...
  • Extreme Street Performance. 5.0 mi. Auto Repair. ...
  • Doc's Performance Customs and Repair. 2.2 mi. ...
  • Eurotek Tuning. 5.6 mi. ...
  • Paul's Auto Service. 1.0 mi. ...
  • 5 Star Auto Repair. 5.4 mi. ...
  • Oil Tech Lube & Auto Care. 4.2 mi. ...
  • Sonny's Auto Repair. 6.8 mi.
She is going to call them and see what they say about the repair. I will up-date with the info. I live in El Paso. If I lived close, HELL, Ide fix it. I will ask my male CF Buddy (who also lives in LV) to go with her for the SHOP ESTIMATE.
