The 9500ix was my first choice to buy but they are nolonger available. I've read that the Max 2 is a good replacement with same performance and features. Any views on this product?
When reading the reviews on Escort's ix and max 2 there were complaints about the suction cup windshield mount coming apart and a vibration problem. Has anybody experience this? Is there a rear view mirror mount that works best with the C7? I don't see one offered on Escort's site.

Blendmount not so good on the manual mirror Cannot move mirror to night setting mount in the way of the switch. If you have Auto Dim mirror then your ok.
I've had mine over a year and move it from car to car and had no problem with the supplied supplied suctions cup vibrating or coming apart. 100+ temps did cause it to lose contact and fall from the windshield a couple times this past summer. A lot of people use the Blendmount.
I have a max360 and blendmount. works great in the c7
Did you buy it direct from Blendmount or another site? Also, did you run a hidden power line up to it or just use the standard one that came with it?
Do you use it on another vehicle...if so.....how easy is it to remove and remount it?

Had my 9500ix upgraded for about $90. Do they not do that any more? Still works great.

I too have a Blendmount and Max 360. Purchased direct from Blendmount with the mirror tap for power. The mount stays in the C7 but use the Max 360 in two other vehicles with the Escort sticky cups in each vehicle. I purchased the 12" rather than the 9" mirror tap length to allow a little more leeway for routing. The plugin end inserts into the Blendmount bracket relief cuts perfectly when not in use.
Blendmount works great, but make sure you get the longer extension as I had gps errors disconnecting regularly, but contracted them and the sent me the longer extension free. I have 9500xi and it works great. You can find them cheap now occasionally on amazon and woot.com
For my V1 I use a similar location to george vee above, but use the window mount. Really out of the way, but easy to touch controls when needed. Years ago I got tired of reaching up to the mirror so much. Easy to pull of the window if I am parking overnight somewhere.
Plus hard wiring to this location was a snap. No removal of any trim pieces--just the carpet in the trunk. I ran a wire to a Fuse Tap on #37.
