Default Help needed for vehicle personalization

I recently purchased a 2017 1LT coupe and am trying to get through the owners manual. I am trying to set the Remote Lock, Unlock, Start settings to my preferences. Under the "Lock Feedback" setting I chose "Horn Only", but when I tried to lock remotely, the horn did not sound. I tried this setting several times with no luck. (I tried "Lights and Horn" but, while the lights came on, the horn did not.) Similarly, I turned the "Passive Door Unlock" setting to "Off", but the door unlocked when the fob was near the car although I did not press the "Unlock" button. What am I doing wrong?

Without seeing what you are doing, your question is hard to answer. Thinking you are changing a setting but the car isn't accepting it. Review change setting instructions paying particular attention to closing out the selection. If your still having problems, contact your dealer.

There should be an option "lights with horn chirp". That will auto lock, flash lights, and short honk

Make sure the second fob is out of range too.

If you are locking the car with the remote, the car will flash lights with the first press of the lock button, and if you press the lock button again within a few seconds, the horn will sound.

This is regardless of any other settings.

Also, reading your post again, there is no passive unlock setting. If the fob is within range of the car, the second you press the door pad, the car will unlock. The only choice you have is whether to have the passenger door unlock at the same time or not.

Press the lock button on the fob twice to sound the horn. That's the way it works on my '15 Impala and my wife's '16 Buick Verano.
