I would be in when you make one to fit the aero II package.

For the C7, it uses mostly factory hardware and holes.

There are a total of 8 additional holes to be drilled, and we have included all the nuts, bolts and washers that you will need. (we try to minimize drilling wherever we can)

Here is a link to a really good installation article.

Hey guys,

We have an update on the ProTEKt Skid Plate kits for the C7 Corvettes with the Stage 2 / 3 Aero front lip kits (so it will work for you guys with the Grand Sport and Z06's)

I have just gotten the first set of prototypes made, and will be getting them into production next week, and I anticipate shipping Monday March 13.

We are super excited about this new kit, as the Stage 2/3 aero has plenty of factory mounting locations, so this kit will not require any drilling, and there is no need for adhesive tapes or glues. Installation will be far easier than any kit we have produced to date, as all that is needed is to remove the factory screws, place the plates, and re install the fasteners. !

Also, here are a few pics of our prototype parts, fresh from the machine!

C7 Z06 Prototype ProTEKt Skid Plates

C7 Z06 Prototype ProTEKt Skid Plates

these parts will be made from the same high quality High Density Polyethylene plastic stock, for super high wear resistance, and low friction.

thank you all,
Mitch

Not sure what you mean, but I assure you there isn't any Magic going on, just good material and a bunch of time making it fit just right.

Pics will be coming soon, but it might be Monday or so... I'm going to refine the fit to make it perfect, then get some installed shots to share with the forum. (installed, it will look very similar to the C7 Base model kit, as it will be perfectly flush with the outline of the spoiler, and will not really be that noticeable.

We plan on shipping the first batch of them on Monday, so no one outside of ProTEKt has installed a set yet!

thanks,
Mitch

Just an FYI, as well as maybe a little self pat on the back, we have just gone live with our Amazon listing for the C7 corvette Skidplates.

Amazon Amazon

It might might not be a giant deal to the forum, but going through the Amazon seller process was hugely challenging, and I think we can be rightfully proud of this particular milestone. It is a pretty big deal for our little fledgling company, and thanks to all of you here on corvetteforum for your support.

thanks,
Mitch

Also, here are some pics. (sorry about the quality, I took them with a potato)

C7 Stage 2/3 Aero overall installed

C7 Stage 2/3 Aero detail installed

C7 Stage 2/3 Aero ground level

I am super happy with these parts, as they are the easiest install of any kit we have ever made, simply back out the factory bolts, place the Skid Plates, and screw the factory bolts right back in!!

There is no drilling, no tape, and no glue required.

thank you,

Mitch

Which one fits the Z06 poverty splitter? I have a base Stingray with this one installed. I believe it would be Stage 1.Do you make these yet? Thanks

dino333,

I got a chance this weekend to evaluate the poverty splitter (stage 1 aero?), and unfortunately the way it is shaped makes it impossible to attach a skid plate.

I had had the same issue with the C6 ZR1 splitter as well. The lack of an enclosed underside means that any fasteners used would protrude right out the top of the splitter.

If the poverty splitter starts looking ratty, you can remove it and run our normal base model skid plates, which fit any C7, that is not running additional aero.

Thanks,
Mitch
