I have tried Reject, adams and about every kind of wax that will not collect so much dust. Has ANYONE had any luck with a polish that is not a magnet to dust. I know I can just dust it off but every time take it out of the garage, dust everywhere.
Please advise syswayne
thanks
It is the price you pay for a really clean car. I told myself never have a black car again. Well in 2014 saw the black with red and black interior 3lt conv now guess what I also do all the time.
I even had my car 1100.00 cleaned and polished with what ever stuff, then car xpel but now it is a ton better to clean & that.
A friend of mine swears by a product called Rhapsody for keeping dust off his car in his garage. I have seen it many times, never covered in a dusty garage with a coal wood stove running and it never looks dusty. I'm going to get a bottle myself to try, I believe he told me it's pretty salty at $100 a bottle.
You are creating a static charge when you wax. So, until you cut that charge it will attract a lot more dust than "normal". After you wax run cold water over the finish and blow dry. The nature of the design will always promote dust on the rear bumper. FWIW.

Dust exists on these cars. But it's not the worse I've seen. That would go to my Focus ST which had dust SO BAD Ford put on larger rotors in year 2 of production and used a less performance dusty pad. They also switched to black wheels, this is also why a Focus RS and most Mustang GT Performance Packs have them, brake dust.
The Corvette (and any car with good underbody aerodynamics) will naturally have "dirty butt" syndrome as all the dirt gets caught in the air as it flows around and under the car, getting "dumped" on the rear as the air breaks off (it's basically a vortex of negative pressure back there when the air "jumps" off the car). This "sucks" the dirt back onto the car. Yay, great aerodynamics!
Get Ardex Flint Glaze Wax . Its the best wax you will ever use . I have used wax that costs 800 bucks and this wax is better . Low to no dust and the shine and feel of paint after using it is unbelievable . You will never use another brand again . Its awesome . look on amazon for ardex flint glaze wax or ardexlabs.com

I have a mini California Duster hanging on a peg between garage doors. Have to use periodically for the rear along with a rag hanging in the same area to clean off the outer exhaust tips!
We could use the old long tapered tail approach that keeps air attached!
Yes, you can do that and keep your wheels cleaner, but your butt will still be equally dirty. As others have said, the stuff accumulating on the rear of the C7 is due to the low pressure zone created by the body shape. Anything kicked up on the road will tend to stick to the rear.
