Joined the club almost 2 weeks ago when I traded my 2015 Mustang GT for a 2015 Corvette M7 1LT. I got the Daytona Sunrise metallic, and I couldn't love it more. It has the Carbon flash package with carbon flash emblems, the black transparent roof, and a Z06/GS front grille. First picture is last weekend after cleaning her up, and second picture is how she sat in front of the dealer on the day I picked her up.

Welcome to the forum, and to the brotherhood. You'll never regret the purchase. Find a local Corvette Club, you'll find a lot of people who share the passion.
Great combo of Daytona Sunrise, Kalahari inteior, and chrome split spoke wheels! You did good. You're in for lots of fun, big time. Welcome to the forum.
DSOM is a great color. I'd suggest visiting the forum often and read up as much as you can to learn about these cars. If you have an issue and post it here you can be sure to get the correct answers for your problem. This forum is a great source of info. Enjoy your car!
As far as how does the performance compare to the Mustang: there's no comparison. The Coyote engine loves to rev and it has lots of power higher up in the power band, but it can't compare to the low end grunt of the Corvette. Also you can tell it's much heavier and kind of floaty compared to the Corvette. I did love the car, though. I've always been a Mustang guy, but my dad got into Corvettes when I was in High School, and I always had the thought I might get into a Corvette at some point.
And I am very familiar with the search function. I have a Land Rover Discovery as my fun truck, and I have spent a lot of time on the Land Rover forums.
