I don't drive mine in the rain, but if it is clear than the top is down. Most days I leave the house about 0630 and it has been 38-50 for the last couple of months. Heated seats, heater up and the windows up and it is fine. Frankly I don't like to drive it with the top up as visibility is not good.
I also had been leaving it in the garage with the top down as that is the only way I drive it, but saw an episode on TV the other day about a new top going on a 60's muscle car and the upholstery guy said to never store it with the top down as it is not good for the top. So have been putting the top up when I get in the garage lately.
It's been 60's and 70's pretty much all winter in NC (Wilmington area). I am loving it. Plus I am a top OFF kinda guy. Just like most people say, crank the heat if needed and enjoy!
I never put the top up except to wash the car. Did the “upholstery guy” give a reason to never store it with the top down? I do use a car cover in the garage because of dust which would get into the interior without the car cover.

Years ago, I bought a 63 that had the new top left down for about two years before I bought it. The canvas would not stretch back out to close! Had to buy another new top.
IMO that number can be stretched to between 60 and 90. It saddened me when I was in Florida twice this year and both times it was in the mid 80s and I saw very few convertibles with their tops down. Even earlier in the day when it was still in the low 70s people weren't fully enjoying their rides like they should have. Why do they even buy convertibles if they are not going to open them up??? Might as well own coupes.

60-90 here too. It does depend upon speed, of course. If i'm in stop and go traffic and it's 90, I go top up and AC, but if I'm on the open road it's fine
EDIT: At the beginning of the season I will drop the top in the 50s and turn up the heat! (maybe GM will add neck warmers sometime for us in Northern climates)

Even if it's 100, I'll still put the top down or roll the windows down. Just crank the AC. I figure I stick out like a sore thumb in FL cause I'm the only guy at the stoplight with the windows down on an 85 degree day. If nothing else, winters in Iowa teach you to appreciate a south Florida winter...

I don't think the locals know how good they've got it! On our last trip to Fort Myers a few weeks ago we were out early one morning while it was still in the mid 60s and we were already dressed in shorts/sandals/short sleeves. A man who looked to be in his 80s came up to my wife and said "where is your jacket at? It's freezing outside!" We told him we were from Canada and that it already felt pretty warm outside for us! I later joked that people down there probably don't feel warm until the outside temperature reaches the same point as their age. So if that man was 85 he wouldn't feel warm until it hit 85F!
