Top of front bumper where meets fender. Top of bumper where meets hood.
So at just 320 miles I've started to notice a defect in my paint along all the corners of the front bumper. Here are a few pictures. I've given it to the dealership to try and make it might. Thing is I told them not to repaint the bumper and if it doesn't look perfect were gonna go through the process and I might lemon law the car.
The more I've been thinking about it I also noticed these small little "t's" written along the bumper. I'm not sure if this is something they do at the plant or if it is something a body shop might have done. I wish I had a picture but I don't. Anyways just wanted to get some advice and see if anyone knows what the "t's" are that are written on the bumper. Sorry for the long rant...
(Great news everyone the dealership acknowledged this along with a defect on the way the bumper fit was unacceptable. The dealership took the car in and is ordering me a brand new one in my color for no additional money. I greatly appreciate David Maus and Lauren in the customer relations department for making it happen. Thank you everyone for your support and just know if it's not right don't accept it. GM has the obligation to deliver cars to us the right way)
My 2017 AW ZO6 is having the same issue. I noticed it at 900 miles. At 50 miles my odometer went faulty causing my vehicle to not drive safely. All ABS, Traction, Airbag lights turned on with no speed limit or rpm. ALL black Dash. My Hood has had touch up applied to it. My trunk liner has missing paint. The black inner liner of the trunk has missing paint as well. My infotainment screen has issue and is being replaced as well. When contacting GM I spoke to someone names Furarn who stated to have my hood refinished.( will not loose vehicle value he claims ) LOL painting a panel doesn't loose value ? Yeah Right Buddy! Anyways I wanted to have my vehicle bought back or replaced and they seem to want to throw my commands out of the window and don't care to make things right. Now I am reopening my case. I purchased this junk for $90K and they didn't have a problem taking my money and now they DO NOT WANT to make things RIGHT. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ! Now I see the bumper is having this issue and I WILL NOT paint it. The Headlight also has water marks on the inside of it. Ive washed the car 3-4 times. Not supposed to do this, even after 200 washes. I know this is a defecting vehicle all over with HORRID Quality Control. Should never have left the plant, and unfortunately I am stuck with it. If GM does not want to make things Right, I will be contacting a Attorney.
My 15' has paint chips where the front bumper and front driver fender meet because the damn tolerance is way too tight from factory and they are rubbing and chipping the paint off.
GM's intelligent designers wanted a tight panel gap like most cars have now... but most cars aren't made of SMC panels that expand/contract pretty significantly under temp fluctuations. Add that to the installation tolerances at the factory and you have a recipe for chipping paint.

Good luck to you. Just remember to keep track of everything and lemon law it.

You would think after spending all the money to resign it they'd figure this one out. Hopefully now that my new car's paint has been detailed and coated it will hold up
I was not aware of paint problems with the C7s. Would this be a strong argument to not get a new 2017 C7 built now before cut off date and wait for the 2018s that will be built in the new plant paint shop?

The 2018's could be even worse if it is a totally new paint system. It's not as if GM hasn't released something to production before they have the bugs worked out. Even then quality problems will always exist.
As stated above my '17 has this issue and it is annoying BUT in the grand scheme of things it really is minor. If my car was a show car that would be another story. Honestly, the first big *** paint chip will be more noticeable and will probably bother me more.
