If they didn't rip it out too it would have the dry sump oil tank in the right rear of the engine bay. Will have oil fill and dipstick.

I've attached the VIN decoder for 2017, not sure what year it is, but it does seem that the VIN will show if it is a Z51 or not. What year is it and I think I know where these sheets are for the various years.

You can post the first 11 digits if you don't want to disclose too much detail.

Yep, my 2014 (sold this past week-engine in tact!) has an L in the 5th VIN position. It's a Z51. VIN will define if it's a model with a dry sump.

Hmm, found a 2015 chart, but that VIN portion you supplied seems to have some typos in the first part? But working backwards from the 51, which the 5 would be digit 11 for Bowling Green.

D = Stingray 2LT Automatic (no Z51)
2 = 07 Coupe
D = Restraint system
7 = LT1
9 = Check Digit
F = Model Year (2015)
5 = Plant (Bowling Green)

Interesting. Guess I didn't know that about the VIN. So this car is a 2LT non Z51?

Default Thank you

Thank you to all who responded to my question. After the information provided by the GM vin info: I see that it is a standard LT1 base.
Thanks again
