Default Factory settings

I'm turning in my '14 today at lease end and want to know how to erase all of my personal info from the entertainment/nav system.
Will "Return to factory settings" do it?

I don't recall exactly, because we have multiple vehicles all a little different, but there are delete settings for previously stored nav destinations, and you can also delete all phones you've had coupled. You should be able to find them by going to both nav and phone menus and exploring them a bit.

In addition if you have the visor garage door opener, holding down the 1 and 3 buttons simultaneously erases the programming to your garage doors.

You can try "return to factory" first, but that may not be linked to nav and phone, and it won't be linked to the garage door opener.

Page 68 of the Infotainment Manual for my 2016 says:

Return to Factory Settings
Touching Continue restores all factory settings.
Select Return to Factory Settings and the following list may display:

. Restore Vehicle Settings:
Restores factory vehicle personalization settings. Touch Restore Vehicle Settings. Touch Cancel or Continue. If Continue is pressed, a confirmation pop-up will appear indicating the vehicle settings have been restored.

. Clear All Private Data: Clears all private information. Touch Clear

. Restore Radio Settings:
Restores factory radio settings.
Touch Restore Radio Settings.
Touch Cancel or Continue.

Hope this helps. Just had to do it on the wife's CR-V.

Maybe hold down two outside buttons to erase garage door in memory!! At least that is how it worked on the C6

Garage door buttons work the same way in the C7. See post #2.

can't you just disconnect the battery or won't that erase everything?

No, thank goodness!

Can you imagine the uproar if every time your battery was disconnected for service or a battery change people had to store all that crap from scratch?

Replaced my battery this past summer and was down for one hour. Was surprised I didn't even have to index the windows. I recall with my C6, had to do that with the drivers side window but the passenger window was fine. Go figure.

I also thought I would have to reset my radio, that pays the 600+ songs on an SD card in shuffle mode when I start the car. It started playing as well!
