Just got one from my dealer last Friday . He sold it to me with cover for$100 over cost ! Absolutely love it ! They are hard to find . I payed $1900 , complete top, bag and tax .
There was a thread where someone bought a "crash" panel and migrated their hardware over. Was $710ish. This would probably be the cheapest way to score a transparent panel, but you use the hardware for your existing one.
Add: search for the thread "Flying roof club--cheaper option". Not sure how to post the link from my iPad...

Whatever you end up going with, make sure whatever you're buying includes the frame and hardware, unless you intend on de-constructing your current top. Many early on bought transparent tops only to realize they only ordered the transparent piece, and none of the mounting hardware was included.
I found a very attractively priced new one on Craig's List. It was from a car ordered with both tops by the dealer. The purchaser only wanted the solid top.
thanks for the ideas...best so far Cultrag Performance= $1755/shipping
Assuming you are buying a top for a c7, it looks like you are looking at the wrong item on their website. The part # u want is 84141731 and the cost is $1575.00 plus shipping. This is the roof with all the hardware. Everything is included and it the latest version (Modifications to eliminate noise).
WOW I'm glad I have the dual roof option on my build sheet. GM time of build $ 1995 for painted and transparent tops.
So you paid $1995 for a transparent top ( the color top comes standard). Not sure why you would be glad that you paid more than what you can buy them from our vendors.
$1995 is MSRP in the order process, but with supplier (or better) pricing that comes down significantly. Some dealers are taking 14-17% off right now, so that brings the price to around $1700 give or take. Also, you don't need to worry about shipping (either the cost or potential damage and delays) and when ordered with the car BOTH tops are covered under warranty, which came in handy for me when Chevy switched the mounting brackets and pins to quiet down some rattles. Finally, since both of my tops came with the car, both properly seal all around. In previous generations some aftermarket tops would come either too loose or too tight and you were stuck messing around with them to get them right. I too am glad I paid "$1995".

Well as mdiiulio stated with the discounts the cost was is cut down and a big factor that both tops are covered by warranty. If I bought after then I would have to deal with finding one and shipping hassle.
