Another side rocker install thread (my install)
1. If you do get the mud flaps be prepared to cut the front of the rocker on the inside corner. They will not fit up correctly if you do not do this. The directions say that you need to do it if you have them prior to 2015 but the new ones still need it.
2. Dry fit dry fit dry fit dry fit dry fit dry fit dry fit...I think you get the point.
3. If you get both you will need to install the mud flaps first so that you know how much to trim the rocker.
4. Jacking up the car is easy but damn that was a lot higher than I expected to fit the jack stands under the front and rear. This is also the room i needed to get the drill under the car.
5. Cleaning the underside will enlighten you to say I should have bought these earlier. After seeing the small rock hits I would tell anyone to put these on immediately.
6. Pull the screws per the directions.
7. Everyone says to use A clamps but unless you have some miracle clamps they do not hold the weight.
8. Fit the rocker up and put in a screw to loosely hold it. My foot held the other end up until I put the screw in that end. Note which end you want to line up THIS IS IMPORTANT - these are not the exact length you would think they are. I aligned mine with the rear wheel opening since it looked better that way. I am sure everyone has their own opinion.
9. Now comes the fun part. Drilling into your prized possession. It took a lot of courage to do this but i did it and put the rivets in. They say you can use the rocker as a template which would be a good idea but the holes do move slightly when you start to pop rivet so I did one at a time. Take care to blow out the debris in-between the rocker and the body panel otherwise you will get a gap and see the mess.
10. Tighten the remaining screws and you are set.
One thing I noticed was all of the rock hits under the car that i had not seen until I lifted it today. Glad I bought these and installed them.

I personally would rather spend another $300+ and get a more quality product that is already painted. It's not like we are buying used $10K Civics..
