Emergency key trunk release
2017 Grand Sport : Today I tried the emergency trunk/hatch release with the mechanical key.....the lock cylinder turns, but nothing happens. The lock cylinder is fastened properly (unlike someone else who found their cylinder freely rotating loose). The battery is good. I am only trying this to make sure it works...based on reading some other peoples problems....
I tried with and without the keyfob near the car, also tried with the car locked and unlocked..
How is this supposed to work??
Update :Nevermind, it works, I needed to turn the key harder against what I thought was its end-stop...a little more force and the trunk popped open...
