Default Front quarter panel vents - body color painted - anyone?

This is NOT my car, but I love this. Wondering if someone has pictures of it done it on a base / Z51? Preferably in white of course.

There is one posted, that I have been looking to find and can't. Was owned by Mr White, or a similar name. The body colored vent option looks better to my eye.

Would appreciate if someone can comment on the configuration of the body colored vents on GS and Z06 models as the build site seems to not change the black trim when body colored option is added. Looking at this car, maybe they do. Nice.

Really like this car and look forward to others posting their non-black vents. Pat

^^^^ This might be the one you are thinking about - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...lor-vents.html

That one is halfway done, I would want to see what it would look like with the "mesh" painted too.

Maybe it's me not that it looks bad but I like contrast.

Yes, that is the car. Lots out there with contrast to the max. The body color makes the styling pop because of the features as opposed to simply color contrast. Makes for a much stronger tribute to the styling team.

Actually, I like both and agree that Walt's would be nicer if the mesh was white as well.

Someday, I'd like to see a Blade Silver Z51. And maybe one with the rear fascia in body color as well. Thanks for sharing. Pat

Funny, I never preferred white but bought my 17 white C7 because of the black accents. Thought it broke up the white really nice. Hey to each his own

I have my base blade silver with shark gray vents...thought about going all BS but spent the extra $400 on Z51 sway bars...the two grays make a sharp contrast in my opinion and I have received many positive comments on it.

Could you post a picture. Some contrast may help. Would like to see. Thanks. Pat

^^^ I assume if you click on my profile you can see my albums...there may be enough pics there to see the gray/silver contrast. If not PM me and I'll send a few.

I disagree. I love the "body colored vents" but if this side vent were all white I think the it would be too much white and the side vent would be too bland. I like the accent the black provides. Sort of like the Goldilocks
"just right".

Did look. Had seen the car prior on the Blade Silver thread and not recognized the lighter shade. It's not what I'm looking to see, so the contrast is a bit too much for me. The black theme you have going likely does make it work for you and it's a nice looking ride. Thanks for helping. Pat

Walt - of course you like it that way. Your beauty was the first I had seen with less contrast. Really appreciate the difference when compared to others. Thanks for sharing. Pat

My AW 2008 Z51 had all the black parts painted body color and I loved it.
But the C7s are just meaner looking with the carbon flash accents. So I went with stinger, roof, wheels, mirrors, emblems, spoiler all in black.
Truth is these cars are beautiful in any color or configuration.

^^^^ This looks great-even the halo is painted which helps save the lines of the C7.

The white vents look good too.

Painted vents are a personal preference. When I traded my car in December the new car had the painted vent option that I didn't care for. To make the deal, the dealer switched my carbon flash hood vent, front fender vents and tail light vents to the new car (I did not have them switch the rear quarter vents). The passenger front fender vent was hard to switch because of the oil cooler that was behind it. I have attached a few pictures of the vents being switched so you can see the difference.
