I know, I Know! The dealers either don't have the car or don't want anyone to drive them. And I LOVE a loud exhaust! When I lived in Italy I was able to drive the original Maserati Ghibli...and a few other great cars. I got goosebumpss when I turned the ignition ! But I would not want them as my everyday car.
Have you thought about a base car with Mag suspension? This may be a good compromise for you. It will give you the Z51 look with the larger wheels and tires and the wing, and you can adjust the ride depending on the mood and road conditions.
You wouldn't have the dry sump and brake upgrades which from you what said aren't necessary since the car won't be tracked.
^^ Well thankfully they are all Corvettes, not a high strung exotic. Regardless of your choice it'll be easy to maintain and live with day to day. Get what you "really" want. I drive a GS/Z07 and find it to be a great driving car. Easy to live with. Best I've ever had. GM did a great job on this car. I'd buy it again tomorrow.

Iro, If you're comparing a GS to a Z51, there's not enough difference that the handling will be dramatically different, assuming you order Mag Ride Control (MRC) with the Z51. The engines are identical so no difference in power. Given that they are so close, choose the one you like the best. The only "money pit" option is the ceramic brakes on the GS. Even with those, you have to wear them out for them to be a money pit, and that's not going to happen for years to come if you don't race the car. Still, I'd avoid them.
I have a Z51 and for me, I don't have any plans at all to move to a GS.
Thank you all for your assurances...Good to know that that it seems I will be happy with any one of them...but doesn't make my choice any easier !!! LOL And no...no Z06! LOL
Yes I was not going to go for the Carbon Brakes. And yes they all have the same engine. So it comes down to handling/ride. Not getting the Cup 2 tires either.
