Default Lower drivers seat

I went in today to go through the motions to get a C7 Stingray. Unfortunately my head hits the roof just enough to make it unworkable.
Seat was as far back as it can go and as low as possible. I didn't try moving it ahead and increasing the angle of the back and will do that on my next visit.

So my questions are...

Does the clear top give much extra clearance?

Does anyone know of a supplier or a fix to lower the seat.

Are the upgrade seats any lower? My dealer didn't have units in with them.

Tks for any insight.

I believe the optional (Sports Seats) have the same bottom so no help there.

Wecome. The transparent top definitely gives you a little more head room. If you're just barley hitting it with the standard roof that may give you what you need. The seat can be modified to go back another inch, not sure about lower. Competition seats may sit a bit lower due to less padding. Use the search function above for more help.

Did you try moving the seat forward a little more, so you could recline the back more?

I'm 6'1" and I find the vert has more headroom than the coupe. I can wear a hat in the vert but not in the coupe

I have both tops, and would guess that the clear top gives about a 1/4" more headroom...maybe a tad more.

Wow... A few hours and a solution or two. Thanks everyone. I'm back tomorrow to make this work.

It is also possible to disconnect the seat recline limiting sensor (once you own the car). This limits the amount or recline the seat has, the intent of which is to protect the seat motor from being burned out.

Default Seat Update

Sure enough...the answer was here.

Rolled the seat forward and added more recline. It barely makes it but enough for me to squeak in.

I noticed as well there was a bit more room to recline so I'm having whatever stops the mechanism looked at.

So the end all here is I am now a Corvette owner thanks to the right answers being provided.

Tks everyone. I look forward to learning more on the forum.

I discovered at the Corvette Owners School that the 17 quilted headliner lowers headroom about 1/2 in. Had a 16 yesterday and had no problems with a helmet on. Today was in a 17 and had to wedge my helmet hard up against the headliner to get my neck up straight.

My Convertible is no problem.

the 1LZ seats have more room than the 2LZ or the Comp. I'm 6'7" and my 16 Z06 1LZ has more headroom than my 14 Z51 with Comp seats or my friends 15 with 3LZ. The 1LZ seats give you an extra 1/2". If you want more, you can order Tillet B5 seats and mount them to the ground to gain about 4" of headroom.
