Mid-cycle engine refresh for the C7 Corvette Stingray
What if the all-aluminum V8 in the GM dealer service system is the new engine for the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It isn't likely, but it could happen.

Interesting read but they mention the new DOHC engine being lighter which seems unlikely. A DOHC V8 with displacement similar to the LT1 would have to be a lot wider than the LT1 which would cause problems fitting it into the C7.
