Okay guys I need your expertise. Got a new 2016 Vette with 1 key fob. Bought another one from the dealer along with key. Followed the instructions in the manual to the letter and now the only thing that works on both fobs are the remote start, the doors open and lock. The car can't be put in gear or backed out of garage. 1. How the heck can it be towed? And any ideas on the fob issue?

If the car starts and runs, it is not a fob issue. Once the car is started, you can throw the fob out the window and drive cross-country -- the car doesn't need it to run or operate in any way.
Also, the fobs are not keyed to certain functions. Either a fob is matched to your car or it isn't. The ONLY functions that depend on the number of the fob are the memory features (keyed to fobs #1 and #2), if your car is so equipped. There is no way to 'pair' the fob so that you can start the car, but not put it in gear.
Is the brake switch working? I know for automatics, you cannot put the car in gear without your foot on the brake. If the little switch on the brake pedal is malfunctioning, the car won't know you have your foot on the brake, and will prevent you from leaving "park".
