Default Wheel offset questions

Hello Everyone, First time posting. I have a question. Not even sure if this is right place for the thread. But i've done some searching and coming up blank.

I have 14 Z51. Recently I bent 2 rims on a pot hole... Ouch I know. I've been looking at Rims. I found some I really like. HOWEVER. the offset on the rear is a bitch. I used the Offset Calculator and while the fronts will be fine. the Rear is going to stick out about 1.4 inches or 37 mm. I dont want it looking strange. I not sure If thats alot or will Rub. Thanks
-the newbie

Yes, it will hit.

That is about the same amount that mounting a Z06-offset rear wheel would stick out, and that will DEFINITELY, 100% hit your fender on almost any bump. Not just 'rub', but 'hit'.

Pics here on the forum for you to see for yourself.

See this thread: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...gray-pics.html

IIRC, the rear Z06 wheels shown stick out about 1.5" more than the stock stingray rear wheels

You'd have to get pre-made wheels that were designed for the C7, which there are only a few of. Or, get forged wheels and you'd have 1000s of designs to choose from.

I went with Crays for my second set as they are designed for the C7, they're reasonably priced, and rotary forged.

I purchased a set from a vendor here that sent me the correct front offsets but the rear wheels were a +56. At the time of purchase I was not aware of the offsets but after some rubbing on certain road dips I started looking into the situation. Long story short and a costly one had to reorder the +79 which is correct. No more rub! But I now own 2 + 56 offset wheels that may as well go in the trash

Hopefully you did not have to pay for them
