Not so pleased with my 2014 NPP exhaust so I am thinking about installing some Corsa mufflers in the stock place. I have Corsa on my 2004 and love them. So my question is anyone have a used set that they might want to sell? Anything I should watch out for in installation? Thanks, Courtney
thanks for getting back Zymurgy, yes, I installed mild 2 wild but could not see much difference. it replaces #41 fuse ... only options in preferences are exhaust is automatic or off... neither one made much difference. Thanks! Courtney

Based on the video below (not mine, found it on youtube a while back) showing the internal design of the NPP mufflers, I don't think your issue is with the axle back NPP mufflers, but more so all the crap that is between the mufflers and the engine (exhaust manifolds, cats, catted x-pipe). You should look at installing a Corsa X-pipe to do away with the second set of factory cats built into the stock x-pipe (this won't trigger a check engine light since there are no sensors monitoring the second set of cats) and try it with the stock NPP mufflers. I think just doing that will make it louder than simply swapping the NPP mufflers for Corsa, because you do not mention swapping out the x-pipe too. If you really want to swap to Corsa, I'd do the x-pipe too. Just my 2 pennies...
Thanks for the reply Lakemg... the video was interesting and yes I should change the x-pipe also. I didn't do that on my 04 and the Corsa's sound puuurfict! Thanks again, Courtney

X Pipe
If you will check in the tech section, Kraka and several others have tried both the Corsa and the Borla off road x pipe , #60547. The fitment of the Borla was better and, being a single x pipe rather than a double X like the Corsa, to the untrained eye, the Borla could pass for the OE thus less likely to raise questions should there ever be a powertrain issue. https://www.borla.com/products/c7_co...rt__60547.html

What sounds good on the '04 may not be to your liking on the C7 what with there being so many changes. Before I drop that kind of coin, I'd search out someone on the regional board near you that has simply a x pipe w/NPP and also someone that has done the full axle-back Just my .02 worth
Well I have been driving with the fuse off on my 2016 coup for months. And today I ordered a corsa extreme and x-pipe. Should I keep the old mufflers since they are NPP OR let the dealership keep them?
The drone was getting annoying on the hiway and I know the corsa extreme will scream with WOT.

I would keep them, because you could then either sell them to recover a small portion of what you spent on the Corsa or sit on them in case you ever want to put it back to stock or sell the car. Some folks that are looking to buy a used car like to have the original parts come with it, if available. Just my 2 cents. If you don't have storage space to keep the stock parts then your best bet would be to sell them.

I'd start by looking at what market there is for used NPP exhausts to be sure you can sell it.
This come from experience. I bought an Audi S5 a while back and upgraded the exhaust. I asked the dealer to give me the original one. It took up tonnes of space in my garage for 2 years before I took it to the salvage yard. Nobody wanted to buy it.
Also bear in mind that for the non-Z06/LT1 NPP folks with AUTOMATICS that V4 mode will happen in ALL driving modes other than trans in M paddle shift. When in V4 mode the AFM valves close and has the same quieting effect as NPP valves. Only way to fix this is disable AFM through a tune or Range plug. Removing the fuse for AFM valves causes a CEL and sounds like a$$.
And V4 mode for the C7 LT1 autos is pretty aggressive. Once fuse 41/42 is gone or switched and AFM is disabled, I think most would be shocked at the great V8 sounds in normal driving ALL the time. I may have written about this before a time or two...
Obviously none of this changes WOT volume or tone.
