When I put the top down the windows automatically go down. So if I wanted top down windows up I would have to put the windows back up after the top goes down?!
Yep, though if you get the SmartTop controller from Mods4Cars you can program it to put the windows back up automatically after the top has lowered. It also raises or lowers the top with one touch of the key fob or dashboard button so you don't have to hold the button the entire time - highly recommended.

Top down windows down...unless the wife starts crying about her hair (somewhere around 70mph) or If I need to take a call...besides that let the wind flow !! Enjoy the day my friends !
With the minimum wind buffeting on the C7 Convertible I would not think a windscreen would provide any measurable improvement and not worth the expense.
I am very satisfied with my top down driving and think GM got it right.

I've been wearing a wannabe cowboy for almost 2 decades. If you wear something similar, do you have any issues with the hat while driving at or above speed?
Oh, yeah! I'm virtually bald so I must wear something or get cooked. I got a red beret from Paris Hats in San Antonio. It has a very small bill and won't blow off. I have several cowboy hats and would prefer them, but it's a matter of being practical for the circumstances. I'd hate to lose my Stetson on some highway.

I understand. I too would hate to lose a Stetson. Of course, I would need to find one I like, that fits... So, until then I wear my cheap wool cowboy hat wannabe.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I've put very few miles on the new vert and none of them were while wearing my hat. Maybe this weekend.
Ok, my first vert. Previous vettes were coupes. My vert was purchased May 2016. I enjoyed it all summer. The wind with the top down was far less than the coupe with the top off. I didn't find the wind buffeting very objectionable but can't help wondering if using a wind restrictor is worth it. Advice?
I just purchased a WindRestrictor for my 2017 grand sport. Super easy to install and it really cuts down on the wind. I got the tinted version and I think it looks awesome
