On January 23rd I ordered a 2017 Grand Sport. Wanted the Admiral Blue if it was metallic however at that time Chevy's website just called it Admiral Blue and not Admiral Blue Metallic. The photos also looked like it was not a metallic color so I assumed it was not metallic. I ordered mine with Long Beach Red Metallic. Car looks great with that color however today I happen to look at Chevy's website and now it says Admiral Blue Metallic. Did some Google searches and confirmed the color was metallic all along. Had I known it was a metallic color I would have ordered it. Darn bozos at Chevrolet. I am certain the web site just said Admiral Blue in January.
Some say things happen for a reason. Me thinks down the road you will eventually be happy it happened as Long Beach red is also gorgeous and my personal favorite. But it does suck you were kind of duped by the website
I'm not sure why it isn't listed as metalic we went to the dealer they had every color in stockwe looked and compared then went with what we originally planned Admiral Blue love the color i was not a fan of the laguna blue if that was my option i would have gone.with red or yellow.

Just tell them to dealer trade yours for the Blue or order the Blue one and wait. I certainly wouldn't wait for my new car and then settle. BTW...the blue is much better IMHO

haha I'm only messing. The long Beach Red in the sun looks amazing. A color you could see on a Ferrari. Classy yet sporty; not many colors can you say that about!
Could have jumped on here and asked. Probably would have takes 5 minutes or less for an answer...
It never occurred to me the Admiral Blue might be metallic. The other metallic colors had metallic in the name plus the photos of the color did not look metallic. The photos of the 1960s Grand Sport looked like the blue was not metallic so I thought Chevrolet was trying to make the new Grand Sport blue match the 1960s version especially since they are offering a heritage edition. So much for logic.
So don't take it. Tell them what you told us... that you believed the color was not metallic and were not told otherwise by them. Order the color you want and wait for it. As slow as sales are right now they're probably sitting around at Bowling Green waiting for you to place a new order...
