Opinion on price
A friend of mine has the opportunity to buy a 2016 Vette, 1LT, automatic. Only 350 miles, probably was a dealer demo, buying from a dealer..asking $50,000. Good deal?

Hmm, I see a brand new 2017 at Kerbeck for $48,484! They sponsor this general topic on the forum, just click the logo upper right.
They have many in stock check it out. They are the largest Vette dealer in the country, usually have the lowest prices.
Heck I buy from them and I'm in SC-just checked and your in NJ! Drive down to Atlantic City with your friend and he'll drive one home!

You can do just as good on a 2017 as suggested check out Kerbeck.

Good deal? NO. I paid $46k in January for a 2017 1LT with M7 and NPP. If the car you are looking at is an auto with the chrome wheels a good deal would be $43-45k because the car is used.

Kerbeck IS great and worth the trip. But you aren't getting those wheels or calipers on a '17 for 50K. Now if that's the most important thing to you...If not, Kerbeck is a great option!

Thanks for the replies,
He said he was in contact with Kerbeck, so perhaps they didn't have what he wanted. I think it was a spur of the moment buy, and money wasn't too much of a consideration.

Can you share what the MSRP was and all the options? Looks like chrome wheels which are about $2K. Automatic is another $1700. Does the car have NPP exhaust? That is something I would recommend. I agree with the others though. A barely used 2016 should be selling for 25% or so off MSRP. Brand new 2017's are discounted 15%...

If money was not that much of a consideration than he should have considered a 2LT. As the old saying goes "Act in haste, repent in leisure"

I bought a 2015 1lt for 52 from kerbeck at the the time and it was a good deal. Its tough to beat keebeck deals honestly. I should warn your friend though to get the car exactly how he wants it otherwise ull be paying more. For example after i got the car, i added transparent top and now the carbom fiber exposed top, wheels, side skirts, front splitters, rear spoilers, carbon dash, carbon flash badges, emblem cargo mats and floor mats and it doesnt even stop there. Dont make the same mistake and dont be so hasty and choose the options that are a must have.

Only if the convenience of buying from this dealer makes up for the price. If not I say move on........Good luck.
