Rattle in engine
I have a rattles, like lifter noise on solid lift came lifters. The dealer says it's probably the fuel injection. The higher the revs, the higher speed the rattles. Anyone else have this? Thanks

Direct Injection uses ~3000 psi to squirt gas directly into the cylinder as it gets near TDC on the compression stroke. Cosing the injectors against ~3000 psi makes noise. The faster the engine rpm, the faster the sound-similar to sold lifters (which the LT1/4 does not have.) Not quite as loud as the injectors in a diesel engine that also has direct injection but even higher compression.
Considering the tire and road noise in a C7, the injector noise is very minor. I have the sound system play as soon as the car starts to counter noise in general, making the ticking not noticeable!
