Default HUD not working

I have a 2017 GS and the HUD is gone. I have tried turning on and off, adjusting height and mode and nothing helps. I am hoping i am missing something and do not have to bring it to the dealership.

Any suggestions welcome thanks!

Have someone look down into it when you start the car. As I recall you can see some lights come in around the edges even if you have it turned all the way down.

If no lights then check fuses.

After that, off to the dealership you must go

sorry for basic question, but by "on and off" do you mean adjusting the brightness? do you have the brightness turned all the way up?

HUD on my 2016 Z51 stopped working once. I pulled the fuse, put it back, and it started working again. Hasn't happened again so far...

Yes I am referring to the brightness switch all they way up or down for on or off. The only thing I did was lock and unlock the car then when I started it the HUD worked again. It was on a different setting but at least it works.

I also had it happen once.
Tried a bunch of different things with no luck.
Then it came back and working fine ever since

Firstly fabulous forum just sorted my hud problem on my new C7 Z51. Driving home the hud just went blank, pulled fuses 19 and 25 as Suggested and it now works again. If it goes again I will be back to the dealership as it is still under warranty.

Mine disappeared the other day in my 17 GS. Turns out the brightness was turned all the way down to zero. I turned the brightness up all the way and it appeared again. Somehow it mysteriously went down to zero because I never touched it. It's working fine now.

My 17 Z lost the HUD and somehow the brightness was turned all the way down. It wasn't that way the last time I drove it. Glitch?

On my 2016 Z06, HUD went out, toyed with the controls and got it to display but was REALLY dim, dealer said it was in "safe lock" (in other words, don't know what's wrong) pulled fuse and reset...
HUD worked for that day, next morning, out again?
Said if it happens again, may need to replace HUD unit...
Monday, off to the dealer again!!!

You might have better luck posting your question in the C5 forum.
