Default HUD Help!

Need help on how to keep the preferred setting on the HUD display. Currently have mode set to Touring and HUD set with tach, speed and g force.
When I shut the ignition off and restart, the HUD comes up with digital speed readout. Not sure how to set and save my preferred settings.
The owners manual is not specific on this, at least I can't find the info.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.

My guess is that your HUD is linked to your drive mode. Go here for instructions on how to unlink it > https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rive-mode.html

Another potential cause is a weak battery. My C5 would always reset the DIC when the battery would draw down too much when starting.

I guess there is no way to configure the HUD display preference for each drive mode option. Oh well, maybe MY 2018!!

Don't link the displays to drive mode. Then use the HUD switch on the left side of the steering wheel to select the display you want. It will stay that way all the time.

Bill, thanks for the response but here is the problem..Currently have mode set to Touring and HUD set with tach, speed and g force. When I shut the ignition off and restart, the HUD comes up with digital speed readout. In other words the HUD defaults back and does not keep my preferred HUD view.

I'm going by memory so could be wrong. But it sounds like you have your driving mode in Touring, your HUD set to Sport....and when you restart the HUD goes back to Touring. Are you sure you don't have the HUD set to sync with drive mode?

Maxpowers...Actually my setting is in Tour Mode with the DIC showing the digital gauges for water, oil, battery tires, just like the setup at Spring Mountain Driving School. The HUD screen option that I am trying to save is the second available in this Mode (Touring)which has the hockey puck tachometer display. All the other modes are factory setup on my DIC.
