wow. i can t believe they are letting kids and people crawl through the car set up for delivery, i watched for 10 or 15 min. families walking by, kids crawling in from one side to the other, take pics, move and others coming looking jumping in and crawling around, that is hard to believe
was a blue with white stripe and red hash marks on both fenders. good luck to whom ever picks it up. i would be checking for scratches and the such.
You gave me a good scare there for a second, because you described my car exactly. I didn't realize there was another one at the entrance. Mine is safely ensconced in the temporary barriers in Delivery 5: http://www.corvettemuseum.org/explor...ms/delivery-5/

That is a beautiful car!!! Hope no one pushes one of those barriers into it!!!! A new corvette surrounded by 6 movable posts scares me!
Cars are safe and not touched in the museum. There is no risk and you do a through walk through before you take it home. I imagine if you found an issue it would be addressed.
IMO it's safer then loading and transferring from rail yard to dealership .... then PDI by most of these kids at the dealership.
One of the reasons I won't do a museum delivery. Your car is basically left unattended.
This is definitely not the case. The cars are stored behind closed doors until a few days before delivery. They're then on display but roped off well within view of museum staff. In the many times I've been to the museum and many MANY times I've looked at them via web cams I haven't seen a single instance of the cars getting touched by museum visitors. In addition, before delivery the NCM delivery staff goes over the car MUCH more thoroughly than any dealer would. If they find anything wrong, they either correct it before you arrive or if unable to do so they take the car back to the plant for correction. Museum delivery is the safest way to pick up your new Corvette.

And that is one of the reasons I opted for the museum delivery. I have not yet heard of a problem where someone did a museum delivery and had a huge issue with the car. Unless someone was just looking or making up a reason. I heard of one incident of something very small and it was corrected while the couple did the tour and returned. My opinion the museum fee is an extra insurance that your car will be perfect and the bonus is to catch up on the history of the Corvette and watch how they build them.

On our last visit I saw a guy just point at something on a car. His arm went over the barrier tape a little. The guy behind the security camera went into action immediately, and reminded everyone that it's a no-no to break that barrier in any way.
I don't get it guys. What is the difference with the car in the Museum versus you leaving it parked at Walmart, Kmart, Home Depot, Costco, etc. and going inside to shop leaving the car unattended for people to touch? Not sure why Wally is freaking out.

who is freaking out ? you ?
ok, take your car to Wallyworld where you shop then and leave the doors open so the kids and animals can crawl through it. no big deal.
The same thing happens at all the major new car shows, just talk to the workers at the different displays and they will have some very interesting stores to tell.

i agree, but they are not going to let people crawl through a SOLD car i m sure.
