Default Road trip observations

Just took the vette from ATL to Savannah and back. Little getaway. The weather sucked tho. Yes, I drove in one of those epic lines of storms.

'15 Z51 M7. 22000ish miles

Anyway...MPGs.
I was in Eco. Went between 6th and 7th at 80mph. Level road. I think 6th had better mpg. Seemed more stable at around 24 on level ground. 7th...was all over the place. 20-28. Weird. These observations were steady in V4 mode and steady RPMs.

Stealth mode. LOL. It truly is quiet. I turned it on so the drone would be minimal for the wife. I couldn't help but think of Airwolf from the 80s/90s. Hahaha

Savannah has some brick and cobblestone roads. Driving barely 20mph..sounded like I had a pair of 12s in the back just going bananas. The tone and sound was crazy from rolling over streets like that.

Love the the vette on road trips. Wife...she'd rather her JeepSRT and more seat recline.

Saw a couple other 7s on the way home. One red one yellow that were eastbound. I-16

As much as I like driving with "we" I enjoy driving with "I" better. I have been reprimanded by my wife for too rapid acceleration in her RAV4 so I will stick with "I" in the Corvette. Pains me too much to drive "normally" in the thing. Sound like a nice drive though.

I agree. I got a comment of "please stop driving aggressive " while I was making a few moves to get around a "left lane lurker"...5 lanes. Just had to be tactful, not aggressive.

I need to video HER driving. LOL. She's more erratic. I'm smooth, strategic and plan ahead.

Anyway...love the C7 for road trips. This was my second.

Presidents Quaters B&B. Recommended. Not only is it a great little place, they have their OWN parking lot right there.

The C7 is a great road car. Luckily my dearest bride is quite happy as the co-pilot.

I agree the C7 is a fantastic road car. I love taking trips in it but the wife really keeps me from doing anything stupid.
