Default Infotainment blackout

Thought the 15's had addressed the loss of the infotainment screen, guess not. Mine just went out. Put it down to get out my wallet, put it back up and nothing on the screen ever again. I saw some brief glimpse of the picture when putting it back down, then would disappear on the way up. While I love the secret compartment it obviously wasn't designed very well if it get a connection issue from being used. Once it's fixed I think I'll end up putting my wallet somewhere else.

That's not right, that compartment is a way cool feature and should not be wasted. Chevy needs to fix the screen so that you can still use the storage compartment as designed.

Maybe it really is fixed now and you were just really, really unlucky that it was yours that broke.

That is the way things roll for me a lot of the time, so I always consider that as a possibility.

Good Luck and let us know what happens.

As with all these kind of issues, take it back to the dealer. Maybe a programming thing. You never know unless you ask. I'm not a Corvette Tech. WTF do I know?

Yeah it's going in Monday. I'm pretty sure it's something connection wise as it flickers a bit when it's 80% down. It just seem like one of those things that if your going to do something cool and different like this you should do it right. I'm pretty proud to have been able to find an American made car that really excites me but it does seem like there are several areas where the engineering is flawed. Roof latches, (14 and 15's) infotainment blackout, the stupid wire thing for air pressure release that does nothing, my center arm rest that looks like the skin of 110 year old. My dealer has been great though and not really a big issues just a bit of a disappointment. Still madly in love with the car quirks and all.

Try honking the horn or turning the A/C on and off, usually does it for me.
