I wanted to make a photo book that covered the beginning of my journey with my GS CE. I'm thinking others might have or want to do so and I thought I'd share a little experience.
I first did one with PastBook, which came out OK, but I was not thrilled with some of the photos, they came out too dark. They actually re-printed a copy for me for free, but the same story.
So I decided to try Adorama after hearing great things. Same photos, but man the quality is AWESOME. I'm thrilled with how it came out, the editing tools online are nice, just happy in every way.
So I thought I'd share, if you want to see how it looks, click the link, it will take you to their site where you can review the book. Enjoy!
Wow. Congrats and great pictures. My wife and I did a route 66 trip many years ago, still one of my favorite vacations. Your photo book is awesome and the Grand Sport is timeless.
Wow that looks great with the layout features that take up the whole two pages and different framing choices on each page. Gives me inspiration for my NCM delivery and drive back too!
Wow. You have a wonderful set of pictures there and did a fabulous job of putting this book together. You certainly have some great memories to look back on there.
I wish it was just $250, but I'm not complaining, it was still an awesome deal! About 2/3rds what MSRP is a good thumbnail to use if you win a car in a raffle (from my experience so far).

I'm confused could you please explain the additional expense-the taxes and trip could not approach this number-39.5% top federal bracket plus state tax maybe equals 46 or so % other than the trip to pick up what am I missing-as the trip could not be that much.
Sales tax in KY = $4,929
Fed Tax Withheld = $20,536
Remaining CA sales tax = $1,900
First two ($25,465) was paid to drive it away from the museum. The CA fees were paid upon registration. Total = $27,365
You factor in travel expenses, gas driving back or transporting it (we drove obviously) and how much money you spend at the museum (that place is fun) and it adds up quickly. But just the taxes and fees get you pretty close to 1/3 the MSRP in this case. And the Fed taxes were just the withholding, it will go on my taxes as additional gross income so the rest will be worked out next year...
I didn't realize it going into the raffle of course and I'm not complaining, just wasn't a planned expense. It was not hard to convince my wife it was a good thing :-)
What a wonderful win and a great trip and the album is worth a 1000 words! However, I couldn't afford to win so will stop entering into these contests. Some of them give you $50k for taxes though so perhaps I'll just win those
I was worried about the two page layouts, thought it might not lay flat and look good. I'll shoot a pic of that page, it works well!
Can you provide the link to the website? I click on your link that gets to your photobook, but when I try to get to the www.adorapro.com site it's just a Welcome to Adorapro intro page without any links?

It can almost be a little overwhelming because there are SOOO many options, templates, stickers, frames, etc. Take your time with it, try different things, sit on it for a couple days before you press order. I made changes, in fact I ordered a second book (costly mistake) because of some changes I wanted to make. I can say it is pretty much what you see is what you get....they do a good job defining page margins and you can have stuff bleed off the page (which I did in some cases).
