Default DIC issue

Where do I go with any issue??? Right here.
Here is my issue with the DIC. I have it always set to the display indicating "Miles til empty, V8/V4 mode, current MPG" etc. I can tab down to "oil life percentage" and one more down gives me "tire pressures".
PROBLEM: all I get now is "phone connected" or "phone not connected". I cannot tab up or down to get anything else. I have turned off my phone and shut down the Blue tooth but cannot get rid of this message.
Have little confidence in the local dealer so thought I would go to the best source....this FORUM!
Any help out there?

Hit the left arrow on the right hand side of your steering wheel. Then hit the up arrow until you are in "Info" mode. Then play around and see all the other functionality you've been missing and perhaps consult the manual.

To clear the phone connected window press the center button of the cluster where you usually press up or down to change displays. I think the phone display even tells you to do that if you look carefully (not absolutely sure of this).

try disconnecting the battery, short of that, see dealer.

Good luck.

When you receive a phone call on a paired phone, the DIC menu automatically switches to phone mode. On my '14, I have to hit the steering wheel left arrow and switch back to whatever display mode I want, (e.g. info, performance, nav etc.).

I think you are in the wrong info mode. Select the DIC mode by hitting the left arrow on the steering wheel selector to bring up the menu.

The childish side of me wants to say that based on the title of the OP this post reminds me that many people always ask me if the Corvette comes with a bottle of Viagra and if it did, it would solve the DIC issue.

BINGO!!! Thanks much for your input....and yes, I do feel like an idiot.
Am seriously tech challenged but knew I could come to this forum for a solution.
