No wonder there are folks who think Vette owners are jerks. I mourn the loss of civility in our society. Of course, YMMV.

Meantime, look up chivalry and ask the question "What is the woman's role in chivalry?". The answer is they have no role whatsoever. IOW they get all of the benefits and have to do absolutely nothing for them. Only a fool or a loser would sign up for that deal!

* Actually chivalry historically was very, very different to what most people view it as today which is only the "be nice to women" part. Believing in fairness I'll be as nice to a woman as I would be to a man. Meantime chivalry has a lot to do with gawd for which I'm an atheist and country for which I'm an individual.

Again no, that'd be illegal. I have morals.

But you'd be wrong, especially if you actually read http://indianapublicmedia.org/news/p...-stores-17285/

Corvette owners, or ICE car owners in general, are not a protected group. Nor, I suspect, are there any laws in those locations prohibiting property owners from setting up special parking requirements. In my state, private property owners can even set up additional restrictions regarding handicapped spaces.

By the same token, since these are rules set up by property owners, and not laws, the restrictions aren't going to be enforced by police. You won't get a ticket for parking in one of those spaces. But if the property has warning signs that say violators will be towed, they likely have the legal right to do that.

This will vary, to some extent, by state, but the above is accurate for the last couple of states I've lived in.
No sir, you don't get the legal right to tow somebody else's property and incur them expenses just because you're a private property owner. In general, however, many, many parking lots are not private property anyway.

A private property owner does not have the right to inflict force on anybody else. It's government that has the sole legitimate authority to use force on citizens - not private property owners. A private property owner can enlist the government to force another citizen off of their private property (i.e. trespassing) but they do not have the right to tow your car against your will. They need to invoke the government and assert private property rights (i.e the right of trespass). And while private property owners have the right to eject anybody they don't like, doing so because of a non-law will just make you look foolish.

Look expectant mothers I understand have some challenges. But it it not my responsibility to provide them comfort. Having a kid is a lifestyle choice unlike say being handicapped from birth and it's why handicapped parking is protected by law and expectant mother's are not. Your decision to have a kid should not burden or enslave me. It's your choice - live it with it - but it is not my responsibility!

Neat idea for a product if these signs proliferate. Make a stuffed cloth Cord & Plug and hang it from the gas filler cap, like "Tony's Tiger Tail!"

There also is some question about the actual efficiency of Prius if you factor in the energy cost of its battery and second drive system. This is partly reflected in its greater cost vs. a non-hybrid like Toyota's similar Corolla.

For max efficiency including purchase price a base model Corolla, Cruze or similar compact is probably about as good as you can get. Subcompacts aren't much more efficient especially as they aren't as aerodynamic on the highway. Diesel Cruze (more expensive than base model) gets well over 50 mpg on highway.

As a highly streamlined and relatively light weight vehicle, C7 actually is quite efficient.

There's no legal basis for that sign; someone is just trying to make himself feel good.

Nobody buys a Corvette because they are big law abiders. As far a fuel efficiency goes, i can get 32mpg, about the same as a Corolla. That IS fuel efficient so you did absolutely nothing wrong. Now the Green thing was just classic.

I don't understand what you are trying to imply. No laws are being violated here. No instead we have a private property owner trying to make up laws that are not passed by the government. Sorry, they can't do that. Nobody here is suggesting parking in say a clearly marked handicapped spot because that would be violating the law.

I'm a big law abider and a Corvette owner though I also believe in civil disobedience if the law is unjust.

How do they define low emitting and fuel efficient. That's very subjective. My C6 gets 32 on the highway. I consider that fuel efficient.
