Hello all I'm looking to trade my 2012 Camaro 2SS for a 2016 Z51 3LT for 59,500 would this be considered a good deal for the corvette at that price? This vette has 83 miles on it and certified 2016 left over.
Sound some what high for a diff's but then again don't know the cond of your car & miles on it also. Offer them 10,k less see what they do are say.. Robert
I would take the MSRP and subtract 20% as a baseline price and go from there. I would be concerned about how the 83 miles was derived-test drives without being warmed up after sitting for 3-4 weeks? check the build date to see if it was an early or late 16-more concern if it was an early build date that sat around with an occasional test ride. I would find that concerning unless the price reflected such.

Its a 2016 left over with 83 miles on it MSRP IS 66,400 AND THE ASKING PRICE IS 59,500
MSRP was $66,400, you say. Know that midpoint through 2016 these were commonly selling for 15% off MSRP. Your $6,900 discount from MSRP is barely over 10%. I wouldn't even consider this for any less than another $6,900 off MSRP.

How is it a Z51 3LT and a 66K MSRP that doesn't add up.
Regardless of the trim, if MSRP was 66K, the car is now worth high 40s. They are at least 10K over priced. You can get a 66K new 2017 car for around 15-16% off from one of the big forum dealers.
Not a good deal IMO. They are discounting 2017's more than the 10% off they are offering for a leftover. (Also from NJ and I purchased a 2016 leftover myself).
As a sanity check, I just looked at Kerbeck's site and the have a 2017 2LT Grand Sport for $62.9. -- (MSRP $71.4). I am not saying that is the way you should go, just offering a reference point.

That does not sound right. MSRP for a 2017 3LT Z51 Coupe with nothing is $71,190. Either the car is not a 3LT and/or Z51 or the quoted MSRP is wrong.
Assuming the MSRP is correct that discount is awful, you can get a new 2017 for less than that. Even if the quoted MSRP is wrong, that price on a used 3LT Z51 Coupe would still be awful unless the car is heavily optioned.

As others have already pointed out, $66,400 for a 3LT sounds low.
No matter what the deal is that you ask for opinions on here, most who respond will say the price is too high. It's almost comical.
Mike, I'm thinking more information is needed before even a SWAG can be given, i.e. like is there a lean on your car to carry over, mileage & condition of the Camaro, etc. I also agree that a '16 Z51 3LT would never have a MSRP that low.

so if you're in a seasonal area you're now going to get the spring corvette tax. Keep looking. They won't come down enough imho to make it worthwhile. I wouldn't pay a dime over 50k for it. which they wouldn't be able to do with current rebates. Enough bonus tags, all hold back etc. It would be too big a loser. Funny as unless they're like kerbeck they're paying interest on that car all this time. Waste of money but is what it is.
look for a 17 for around same price. Maybe you pay a couple grand more well worth it to have a newer car. If 5k more? That's where it gets sticky (bargain wise).

No lien on my car like I mentioned I'm new to all of this just thought 59,400 for Z51 3LT CERTIFIED with 83 miles was a reasonable price and yes of course I would ask for a lower price. It has Mag Ride and all the other options.

Thanks I would look at the base Grand Sport just not a fan of the wide body but some like it.

Cowboy, on the face it doesn't sound bad for a '16 3LT Z51. The MSRP should have been near 73-74K with the mag ride. Check the forum vendors prices here to give you an idea what the '17 Z51's comparable to this are going for, Kerbeck, Criswell, McMulkin, Coughlin, etc. That should help get you in the ballpark. Then you can use www.kbb.com to get you in the ballpark on the price of your car. Of course after that it depends on how the dealer is going to deal in the trade. Hopefully he treats you good. Good luck.
BTW, you maybe able to do much better going through one of the forum dealers on a '17. Many here have bought, drove there trade to the dealer, took a nice break-in trip home in their new Corvette, and still saved money.

Yes you're correct the MSRP is around 72,000 sorry for providing bad information, new to all of this it has all the goodies just not the comp seats but the touring seats with only 83 miles, mag control and all of that.
