And now this.......?
12 show up on the RAM - Only 6 show up on the Vette.
Any advice besides just listening to the ones that show up?
(They all work when plugged into the computer...)

Sounds like me in my c3. The original radio is still in the car, but there are no speakers.
Sarge...I'm the girl who showed up to take delivery of my new c7 with CDs for the long ride home. Yeah, I had no clue there wasn't a CD player.

I wanted the car, I bought it. I had no reason to be reading about the cd player (or the lack thereof!) before taking delivery!
That's the attitude this Country needs these days!

We didn't have no fancy e-leck-tronicks on the wagon train from St. Louie to Cheyenne.
If we weren't a singin, we were busy pulling ticks off each other and collectin arrow heads.

It won't work?
I've got a S6 Edge phone but for security issues (client data access) - I can't use it for this purpose.
Ripping a few songs off each of a few thousand CDs sounds like a terrible loss of shooting and drinking time.
I've got Amazon prime and Sirius accounts - Can I just download from them...?

I have a huge CD collection, had a huge collection of LP's before that with a wonderful stereo system with multiple turntables, CD players and a mixer. It all changed when my wife bought me a CD recorder. Before we "burned" 'em on the PC, the recorder was a stand alone component. After "burning" hundreds of albums to CD, along came the iPod. Now all of the CD's had to go on the PC to put them on the iPod. Now it's the cloud...so if it's on the PC you can distribute to your devices for 24 bucks a year with iTunes Match.
The 12 thousand songs go from the PC to the cloud for access from up to four devices. I use my phone, my ipad and two PC's so I can take my music wherever I go.
My phone with the nav and music apps, paired with car play, which you get in all GM vehicles, is just the latest step in the evolution. Haven't been hacked, nothing has been stolen...if the government or whomever is listening or tracking me (which they do with ezpass anyway) they're definitely bored to tears (and I work in the media).
But I have my music and what I need to integrate my life with my driving. We have some marvelous tools to work with, we just have to select what we need to do the job we desire. And as I write this, I think of the handful of times I used the CD player in the last three Mercedes I had before buying the Corvette. It's part of the reason I bought my C7, I didn't need a back seat anymore...I can say the same about a CD player...

That of course may be confusing for some, if so, pass the stick to one of your computer friends and say you want it formatted FAT32 (or post what computer system you have and we can try to walk you through it).

And they even work...
Thanx to everyone who chimed in -

Also, think about the prior suggestion to stream your Amazon Prime music through a smart phone connected to your car. It's another alternative to get access to your music without the time invested to move to flash drives.

I get books on CD from the library. It is IMPOSSIBLE to listen to these which are ripped to MP3 files. The infotainment system reorganizes the order of the MP3 files in some unknown order. It even ignores the folder structure on the USB drive.
I had software to merge all the MP3 files into a big, honking 12 hour MP3 file and that had potential. The problem then was if the playback got interrupted, the all knowing infotainment system began at the beginning of the MP3 file again with NO WAY to locate to where it left off. If you were 10 hours into the MP3 file, you had to re-create a new MP3 with the last 2 hours.
I would really, really like an answer to this problem, if anyone here has one.
I tried loading stuff on my Android phone with Windows Explorer but the playback software doesn't seem to have a navigate function so I can find the damn files.
WTF does this stuff have to be sooooooo difficult?
