Automatic shift knob top removal???

Do the tops actually come off or could they have been broke from the knob and he is selling them? Here are the pics of them

Automatic shift **** top removal???

i saw this guy posted just the tops for sale from a shift ****. Do the tops actually come off or could they have been broke from the **** and he is selling them? Here are the pics of them

You can pull your shift **** off and look. I have a 7sp but from what I've read on here, you just pull while twisting to get the auto **** off. Like I said, I have a manual, so I haven't ever removed an auto **** before.

that is not how the sell them the units are sold with the shaft and boot for 90.00 they may come apart and it would be tempting to paint them but I am not wrecking mine to find out
