Default Side mirror swap question

I picked up a set of carbon flash mirrors that I am going to swap out on my Z. How big of a job is it? Where does the wiring plug and unplug? Also, my car is a 1lz and the mirrors are from a 2lz with auto dimming. Will they plug and play? Really dont care if the dimming works or not. Thanks for any input.

How much were they and where did you get them? I wanted to have that on my 3LZ but went the route of getting a car they had in stock vs. ordering so didnt have that available.

It depends on what you consider to be a pain or not. You have to take the interior off the door to get to the inside of the mirror mount. It's not a terribly hard job if you like pulling stuff like that apart. I have no idea if they are compatible between trim levels, I can't see why they wouldn't be. On the flip side, if I could pay the dealer for an hour of labor, I'd go that route.

Here are the instructions I used to get inside the doors, you can judge for yourself if it looks like it's in your wheelhouse:
