To eliminate the RPM swings in A4 mode, I have been going into manual mode on the highway. Now I really notice an exhaust drone at 70+ MPH in 8M.
Anyone else notice this? Would changing the exhaust mode alter the drone?

My Z06 will drone with engine sound management set to track at interstate cruising speed, I switch the sound management setting to sport and that takes care of the drone. I found that the Blockit mat I added also somewhat reduced the drone but sport is still noticeably quieter at cruising speed. Mine is a 2016 and as I recall some earlier model years only had an auto or off setting for engine sound management but if yours is a 2016 or later you can go into vehicle personalization and switch sound management to sport and that will probably take care of the drone, otherwise try setting to tour.
