Ron Fellows School
Hello, has anyone had any experience with the Ron fellows Corvette driving school outside Las Vegas. Thinking of purchasing a new Vette and heard you can get a discount in the school if you do. Any help would be appreciated. Gary wilson

Yes, do a search Spring Mountain and you will find nothing but raving reviews about the place. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

I'm sitting in the airport getting out of Las Vegas after attending the Ron Fellows three day, level 1 class. This is the fourth time I have been to Spring Mountain, two times for Corvette Owners school, one time Level 2 and just now, three day Level 1 (the best deal in terms of what is covered and driving experience!!!). It's great... nuff said.

I had a fantastic time, I did there level 2 since I already had a little over 1k track miles on my C7 at the time. Not sure what your background is but speaking to their lead instructor it would be a waste of time IMO to do the Corvette owners program if you had a fair amount of track time. However, the level 2 on the other hand definitely helped me improve in a few different areas. What's nice is you can still get a discount on level two if you bought a new Corvette.

I did a bunch of research. From what I put together, it's great for someone with 0-2 days of track experience or no local tracks. If you are anything more than that, you porbably don't want to waste your time.

Like I mentioned in my above post, that is an accurate assessment. However, I did their level 2 (at the time I had a little over 1k track miles on my C7) and the level 2 was useful, first day not so much. Also the discount carries over to level 2. But the fee you're responsible for is more. Around $1,700 vs the $1,000 for the Corvette owners school.

I disagree. Well worth it for $1k unless you have extensive training, not just track experience. If you're paying full price, then yes the level one would be a better choice.
Edit: was referring to Village Idiot's post. This is why I don't understand why the mods don't like you quoting the preceding post.

edit: I guess I'm beating the **** out of someone else's car. Something to be said for that. Maybe it is worth it.

Apparently you didn't do all that much research after all. They have over 100 Corvettes all 2016 and 2017. You drive exactly what you bought. If you bought a GS M7 you drive a GS M7. If you bought a Z06 A8, you drive a Z06 A8. The only thing they don't have are base stingrays and verts for obvious reasons.
I just finished the class yesterday and it is was awesome. It more than just track time which there is a lot of. One of the funnest parts is you go out on wet skid pad and do figure eights and spin the car out etc.
