Default How do you remove paddle shifters?

Thinking about either painting or buying a set of Yellow paddles. Anyone taken them off before?? Wondering if it's an easy job or does entire wheel need to come off. Thanks!!

I did red--fun tweak. Not too hard following the instructions. The challenge was releasing the air bag. There are two rather stiff releases. I would push one side then go to work on the other one, only to have the first one snap back. Eventually I got both and the bag came out. One forum member had a friend help--an extra set of hands would help a lot.

Here is one installation link. LINK
