Default Noise

i have 2014 stingray. when i punch it all the noise that the motor makes sounds like its coming right behind the dash. wondering if others experience the same situation?. i wasnt really expecting so much of the exhaust sound to be heard quite so loud inside. i was expecting most of the sound to be at the exhaust but its hard to tell. as u know it really screams when your foot is in it so i i feel better if others do the same so that i dont have some kind of problem. your feed back is welcome.

Does it sound like exhaust, or something grounding out metal on metal?

Any noises when you open the hood?

When the RPMs are up, it can be loud...yes that engine noise will come through the firewall at you. Just revel in it!

Seriously though, it's impossible to know if yours is noise or engine music.

I'm assuming that you just recently got the car (used 2014)? Have you looked at the exhaust to see if it is stock? It is possible that the prior owner put headers on it.

If you'd like to match the exhaust noise at WOT add a low restriction air intake system. That sucking sound comes close to the exhaust.

It's the same with my ProStreet Rod. It has an 8.2 Liter engine with long tube headers feeding straight thru Bola mufflers an all 3 inch pipes exiting just before the rear 16.5 inch section width Mickey Thompsons!

The oiled cotton, 14 inch OD x 5 inch high K&N makes as much noise on a 0 to 60 run!
