I love reviewing these production numbers, especially since I bought a '17. I thought Admiral Blue would be higher, seemed like it was a common color on the lots when I was looking. At 4% I now understand why it took me a while to find my yellow one with the M7.

Interesting.
Sterling Blue actually isn't that too far off from Black Rose Metallic in total sales, and actually had pretty decent sales with the Grand Sport line; outselling 3 other exterior colors. I guess the Stingray and Z06 sales didn't justify keeping it around...though this weekend would be the perfect time to ask and verify.

Thanks for posting. Those numbers were impossible to see on the video.

Looking at the other production numbers. Watkins Glen Gray was the most popular color for the 2017 Grand Sports with 2,683 (23%) of the 11,566 made were that color. Of the 2,683 WGG GS's, 926 (35%) were GSCE's
The GSCE's make up 8% of the 2017 GS population.
Definitely not the rarest of the 2017 GS's if that's what anyone was hoping for. That honor goes to the 2 Yellow w/red interior and 2 Black Rose w/red interior cars.

Nice breakdown. Nothing too surprising. Lots of black wheels. I didn't expect the blue, yellow and silver percentages to be that low. Also the convertibles...much more rare than I would have guessed. I also thought that LBR would be more popular than BRM but it looks to be pretty close. Anyone else see unexpected numbers? Overall the GS seems to have hit the sweet spot and understandably so.

^ Other than that Sterling Blue thing I mentioned earlier, nothing really stands out. There are some "catered" colors for the Grand Sport which shows in the production numbers. Admiral Blue is still strong in that regard. Watkins Glen Gray was heavily pushed for 2017, especially with the Collector's Edition which was practically guaranteed a head start over the other line of colors before the model year even began.
While I'm honestly not surprised on the lower numbers for the Blade Silver, the Racing Yellow is a bit concerning. GM might not want to take risks in their color line if the existing colors beyond the white/black/red/gray spectrum shows no stability or production increases.
