The tip I got from here which works really well was to get a paint pen. It's pretty easy to accurately paint those letters with it, a lot easier for my oafish hands trying to use a brush!
Quick edit: I've read on here guys getting the dealer to change them under warranty if your letters are just wearing off.

my paint was peeling also and I got a GM paint that a forum member said was very close. It is about as close as you can get as I just put the paint on where it had flaked off.
unfortunately it flaked off also and the original pain kept flaking off also in other spots.
I did not scrub the rails or power wash, I just used a wet wash mitt with soap and was very gentle, and the paint still came off.
I just got new fuel rail covers from my dealer under warranty,
I don't know what to do to keep the paint from coming off the new fuel rails, and if anyone has suggestions I would appreciate them.
the GM part number for the paint that I did try and is very close is GM code 74u wa9620 19328532
