This is the 2nd time in 5 months I've had to have my driver's seat back replaced under warranty on my '14 roadster. The upholstery about 3/4 of the way down has pulled out away from the seat hard shell back and is gaping open. Dealer says only way to fix it is to replace it with a new one. It appears the only thing holding it is a bead that is tucked behind the edge of the shell, with no staples or anything else holding it in place.
I'm a heavy guy but not putting any undue stress on the seat when entering or exiting due to pushing back against it but I suspect that is the cause. I've never had that problem on any other car in 55 years of driving.
Has anyone else had a problem of this nature? My warranty expires in 11 months and it's gonna be expensive when it's not there to pick up the cost if it keeps happening.
