Unexpected acceleration
Has anyone here experienced any unexpected/unprovoked acceleration with their 2014-16 stingray? If so, did the dealership correct your issue?

What type of driving were you doing just prior to the unexpected acceleration? If you are driving in a spirited fashion, the car is programmed to go into what I call "puppy" mode and wants to keep the revs high and in lower gears anticipating a continued operation of a spirited mode of driving.
I've had it go into puppy mode many times. It just wants to play!

Are you talking about unexpected acceleration while at idle speed or going very slow. While at idle speed, I had unexpected acceleration that felt like someone had struck the rear of my car. Long story short, needed my TC replaced.

No, I was doing 25 mph and the car literally took off on me, rev'd up to 6250 rpm and wrecked. Just wanted to see if anyone experienced this issue.

I definitely will. Little nerve rattling but the 18k in damage is what pissed me off the most.

Not trying to disrespect you but any chance you got on the gas and thought you were on the brake? You see this happen all the time with people going through store fronts and such. In fact it sounds like it just happened today at a car auction here in Ma.

Dry sump oil system? If the dry sump, had you had the oil changed right before this mishap?

No, I had both feet on the brake trying to stop.

The brakes are far more powerful than the engine for both the LT1 and LT4. With the brake pedal depressed the wheels should be locked.

The front tires did lock up. It acted as if the car was power braking. Now, anything else you want to try and discredit?
