Earlier this week I had an intermittent flashing check engine light under moderate to hard acceleration. Engine would run rough and power was reduced. Dic showed "Stabiltrack. Service rear axle." Took it to dealer Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine TX.
They replaced #1 fuel injector under warranty. Also did airbag pretensioner recall. Got a Silverado pickup as a loaner. Invoice showed $510 parts and labor for injector, 2 pipes, and gaskets charged to GM. All's well.
Is there any indirect relationship between the Rear Axle and a Fuel Injector?
What I have seen in here from one thing are the other that is a problem with these motors that computer also makes the check rear axle also come up on the car Robert
Sometimes true.
It was said that a loose spark plug wire on a C6 could produce not only a "Check Engine" light but also a "Service Active Handling/Traction Control/ABS" series of messages.
I didn't really believe that, until it happened to me.

The "nannies" depend upon a properly functioning engine because the control system uses control of engine power delivery to do its magic. If the engine cannot respond as expected then the other systems will also indicate they are unable to function properly since the engine doesn't appear to be behaving as expected.
