I teach a dual-credit class at a local high school. Last Thursday I told them I was most likely going to buy a Corvette Friday. I pulled into the parking lot next to the classroom I use and they were all waiting outside to see the new car. They approved!
My favorite teacher was my biology/chemistry teacher. I met him and he had a 1965 Impala SS, then a 1967 Impala SS and then moved in to a 1969 Corvette. It made me want to be a teacher just to own the cars, and then, I realized I couldn't tolerate stupid. So that left teaching out. That teacher was also a football coach and a hunter and fisherman who would take students along. I was introduced to archery through him. His life was teaching, even when he wasn't. I learned a lot from a man who had more time for me than my own dad. Kudus on your new Corvette.....may you have the same impact and legacy in your life.
My high school chemistry teacher drove a le Car. I got to drive it. It had a stick shift and no matter how much I revved the RPM I couldn't get it to squeal the tires. Too bad he didn't have a Corvette.

Excellent!
I too teach high school and drive my Vette to school on nice days. I'm fortunate to be able to park it where I can keep an eye on it from my classroom all day. I've gotten plenty of compliments on it and sometimes see kids taking photos of it.
Sorry no pics. Actually, I was running late and had to get the final started. Great bunch of students, most shook my hand as they turned in their finals. And yes they passed, so they now have college credit as they graduate high school.
