I have a 2015 stingray, My torque converter went out with 5000 miles on the car, had it replaced through warranty, I put 2000 miles on the car and its doing the same thing? what is causing the torque converter to go out again? they said the first time GM got a bad batch? so did they put another bad one in my car again?
I think if GM knew what was causing the TC's to go out over and over again, the 2016 and 2017 cars would not have a TC problem. It does seem that the 2015's have the most cars with TC problems. Mine was replaced only one time February, 2016. I definitely will be buying the GM extended warranty.
I think, because it's an issue across the board for all 8spd in gm lineup, That it has to do with the internal design of the converter since they were all made for afm. It's the only reasonable explanation.
and the 16 and 17 have issues also read about them all the time.
something there or in the program for the converter clutch. They screwed it up. And if it were fixable they would have addressed it. But my guess is that is isn't. Or wheb they do this new triple flush they are flashing the trans with an u dated program.
