Default Tire replacement

I have 2014 stingray with pilot tires still oem. Not worn yet but was wondering for those that have changed theirs did you go with the same or what tires did you replace them with and why?

Went with Michelin Super Sport non run flats, a slime kit with mini compressor. The are much quieter.

Replacing mine soon, staying OEM. When I take the car out, it's to have fun, not a dd.

Have replaced front tires with OEM tires. Consumer Reports ranked the OEM tires #1.

I replaced mine with the Pilot Sport A/S+ run-flats. They're MUCH smoother, quieter, no more rocks flinging up the side up my car, and for daily driving have just as good of traction.

Since I don't track my car, I got the Continental Extreme Contact DW 06 tires. Much quieter too.

Started out I was gonna replace O.E.M. with non-runflat PSS but after a thread about their handling characteristics I'm going O.E.M.

I'm a big fan of the A/S 3+ Michelins. Can get run flat or conventional. I live in TN and drive year round and have to have all season. YMMV.

Sport Cup 2's. They stick and handle much better than OEM. This weekend I was going about 10 mph faster through the turns than when I was running PSS, and felt that I probably left some speed on the table.

Everyone will tell you the OEM PSS are awesome. And they are...but Sport Cup 2's are better.

Chevy spent a lot of time and effort to specify the tires on these cars. I have no complaints about the way the Pilots perform on my Z51 and plan to replace with same.

My OME run craps lasted only 20K miles. I replaced them with the following:

BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S

BFGOODRICH
G-FORCE COMP-2 A/SUltra High Performance All-Season

Front: 245/40ZR18 97Y XL
Sidewall Style: Blackwall
UTQG: 400 AA A

Rear: 285/35ZR19 103Y XL
Sidewall Style: Blackwall
UTQG: 400 AA A

Better handling, much quieter ride, and, they now 19K miles on them, and still look brand new.

Agreed. I drive HARD and my pilots have plenty of tread at 18k and they stick better than I could have imagined. Hey, I'd love to see a Goodyear or Goodrich on these cars but they just ain't in the ball park. Sorry.
